Dental Implants

Dental implants are designed to provide a foundation for replacement teeth that look, feel and function like natural teeth. The person who has lost teeth due to periodontal disease, injury, etc. regains the ability to eat virtually anything and can smile with confidence, knowing that teeth appear natural and that facial contours will be preserved. The effects of missing teeth can be detrimental to your long term oral and medical health. Missing teeth are often associated with old age and can make you look older than you are. Replacing missing teeth can dramatically improve your smile and the shape of your face by preserving bone structure which deteriorates when teeth are missing. Dental implants don’t sacrifice the quality of adjacent teeth like a bridge does because the neighboring teeth are left untouched. With proper oral hygiene both at home and with the hygienist, it can last a lifetime.

Dental Implants are changing the way people live! With them, people are rediscovering the comfort and confidence to eat, speak, laugh and enjoy life.

How are Implants placed?

These are tiny titanium posts which are placed into the jawbone where teeth are missing. The bone bonds with the titanium, creating a strong foundation for artificial teeth. Dr. Turner places the implant in our office so there is no need to be referred to an Oral Surgeon. The implant post and healing cap are placed at the same appointment and after a healing period of 6-8 weeks, Dr. Turner will take an impression to send to the lab for fabrication of the Implant Crown. The entire procedure from implantation to restoration takes about 3 months.

Many of our patients have been surprised by the lack of discomfort and the ease with which the procedure was performed. It is so natural, you may even forget you ever lost a tooth.

How much do dental implants cost?

No two patients or their customized dental implant treatments are exactly the same, so the number of appointments, procedures and dental implants cost may vary accordingly.

We do have Patient Forms available for you so you can start with your initial appointment and assessment. For the scheduling, Pine Mountain Dental Care of Kennesaw is open Monday through Thursday from 8:00 AM until 4:00 PM. We will schedule your appointment as promptly as possible.

Please call us at (770) 426-0503 with any questions or to schedule an appointment.

If you have pain or an emergency situation, every attempt will be made to see you that day.

After an initial appointment and assessment, your dental implant expert will provide you with a treatment plan including the estimated number of appointments and cost, and then notify you if there are any changes during the process.

Because your teeth affect everything from your smile and confidence, to your ability to eat, speak and participate in the activities you enjoy, and because there is no better option to restore missing teeth, dental implants are an investment well worth considering.
