Matthew Slocum, DMD

Dr. Matt was born and raised in Cartersville, Georgia. After graduating from Cartersville High School, he attended Georgia Tech where he earned his degree in Physics. He then went on to pursue his passion for dentistry at the Dental College of Georgia, where he received his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree. Dentistry has always been a family affair for Dr. Matt. Coming from a family of dentists — including his mother, father, brother, and sister — he developed an appreciation for the profession at an early age. He has followed in his family's footsteps to provide exceptional care for every patient. Dr. Slocum believes that dentistry is about more than treating teeth — it's about building lasting relationships. He is passionate about delivering patient-centered care and strives to create a comfortable, welcoming environment for every patient he meets. His attention to detail, gentle approach, and dedication to excellence allow him to provide high-quality care while helping patients feel at ease throughout their treatment. Outside of the office, Dr. Matt enjoys staying active and spending time outdoors. His hobbies include riding motorcycles, both on the street and dirt bikes, playing tennis, mountain biking, and spending time with his four-legged best friend, Hudson.
