3 on 6 Implants

The 3 on 6 approach restores a full arch using six implants that support three separate fixed bridges rather than one continuous prosthesis. Like All-on-X, the result is permanent and never removed. The difference is in how it is built: dividing the arch into three sections distributes chewing forces across more implants and means that if one section ever needs attention, only that section is addressed instead of the entire arch.

At Pine Mountain Dental Care, we plan 3 on 6 cases with 3D imaging to confirm there is adequate bone to support six implants across the arch. Patients often choose this option when they want the most robust, serviceable full-arch restoration available and have the bone volume to accommodate it. The individual bridges also allow for a very natural contour along the gumline, which matters a great deal in the upper arch where the smile line is visible.

Treatment unfolds in planned stages: implant placement, a healing period while the implants fuse with the bone, and delivery of the three final bridges.
