Dental Crowns

A dental crown is a tooth-shaped cap placed over a damaged, decayed, or weakened tooth to restore its function and protect it from further harm. Crowns are one of the most common and reliable restorative treatments in dentistry, and at Pine Mountain Dental Care, we craft each one with precision to match the color and contour of your surrounding teeth.

Crowns are recommended when a tooth has a large cavity that a filling cannot adequately support, after root canal treatment, or when a tooth is cracked, fractured, or severely worn. We also use crowns to anchor dental bridges and cover dental implants. The process typically takes two visits: one to prepare the tooth and take impressions, and a second to place and cement your permanent crown.

Our crowns are made from high-quality porcelain, zirconia, or ceramic materials that offer excellent durability and aesthetics. We pay close attention to your bite and occlusion to ensure the crown fits comfortably and functions just like a natural tooth. With proper care, a well-placed crown can last 10 to 15 years or longer.
